Dog Photography Awaken
Stefano Gambetta is not a novice or amateur to photography. He has studied photo journalism in Peru and has traveled extensively working on his photography. However, when he walked into It’s a Lab Thing’s FotoCoach with Andy Biggar in Padua, Italy he was in for a whole new experience of photography he had not tried, dog photography.
Testing the Waters
Stefano’s passion for photography is shown in his images of everyday life and European motosports, primarily motorcycles, so when he had a chance to jump in a photography class in his hometown of Padua, he was all in. Seeing some of his sample images before class started of his other work, I was worried that FotoCoach may not be at his speed. However, Andy has a way of teaching that can still keep you interested.
Unearthed Dog Photographer
The real fun started when we got out into the garden and started shooting. Stefano was putting his new found perspective to the test with Andy right there to show him the way into the new world of dog photography. From action shots to portraits, dog photography is really right up Stefano’s alley, whether he knows it or not. 😉 After seeing his first round of pictures, both Andy and myself knew he had a ton of talent.
Dog Photography Fun
After the first day, I knew we had a new fan of FotoCoach. On the last night of FotoCoach, at dinner, I asked Stefano what he thought. He said that he “really enjoyed the class and the social aspect” “having the one on one time with a pro to validate what he was doing was right” was what Stefano enjoyed the most. You see, that is what I love about FotoCoach with Andy Biggar. It is that any photographer from any level can come and get something out of the course. Whether it is the social atmosphere or comparing notes with fellow colleagues, FotoCoach is for everyone looking to enhance and improve their photography.
I want to thank Stefano for sharing his work and participating in the class. I feel that I have gained a new friend and it was awesome to share the FotoCoach experience with him. I am sure we will see Stefano again in 2014 when we return to Padua in September for another round of FotoCoach. Maybe this time he will be helping with the class. 🙂 Who knows you could be looking at the Andy Biggar of Italy. 😉 lol.
